How do I sharpen with the Oakstone Rolling Sharpener?

What is the diamond disc and the ceramic honing disc for?
  • Diamond Disc (#400 grit): Aggressively restores dull blades, perfect for manual sharpening of high-hardness steels (including Damascus).

  • Ceramic Honing Disc (#1000 grit): Polishes and removes burrs, refining the edge to a mirror finish.

Can I sharpen any knife with the Oakstone Rolling Sharpener?

Yes, our rolling knife sharpener works on most smooth-edged blades: kitchen knives, chef’s knives, cleavers, hunting knives, folding knives, and Damascus steel blades.


Not suitable: Serrated knives (e.g. bread knives) and ceramic blades (non-magnetic).

Can I use Oakstone to sharpen outdoor or pocket knives?
